pumpkin spiced milk

anyone ready for a low(er) fat, seasonal treat?!
i am.
our trunk or treat was last night and i might have stuffed myself.
you know, the typical mom thing: let your four and two year olds have a few pieces and then claim that sugar isn't good for you??
and then send them to bed and eat it all for yourself?
yea.
>> guilty.

still, i wanted pumpkin on halloween but this is way healthier and oh, so tasty.
the boys loved it and didn't know that they were drinking a whole serving of veggies too!

Pumpkin Spiced Milk
Makes 2 1/2 cups.
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1-2 dates, soaked in hot water for 5 minutes

Blend everything in a high-speed blender until completely smooth.
Enjoy immediately, refrigerate until very cold, or pour over cereal!
And then don't feel guilty about eating sweets tonight!
