homeschool wrap-up: April!

another great month!
we are slowing down this month for the summer but our plan is to continue working on the last of our worksheets and focus on field trips and lots of fun, summer crafts!
so, this will be our last wrap-up for the 2015-2016 school year!
hope you enjoyed our journey and we can't wait to see what next year has in store for us!

lately...

we've been crazy busy this month with lots of trips and travel but we managed to squeeze in some "normal" time too!
hopefully may will see a slow down while the weather warms up!

how to boil perfect hard-boiled FARM FRESH days:
bring a saucepan of water to a boil.
lower eggs in and boil for 15 minutes.
remove to ice water bath and peel immediately.
enjoy!

daddy killed a hog!
hogs are a huge nuisance to a farm and out of this 120 pound pig, we got about 60 pounds of good meat!
does this count as free-range?? :)

we tried blueberry eggs...
all the rage with fitness buffs, blueberry eggs are 1 mashed banana, 2 eggs scrambled in, then a handful of blueberries and a dash of cinnamon when they are almost done. and a sprinkle of almonds on top! it does taste a bit like french toast and my boys loved it!

towards the end of the month, we took a trip to dallas for a birthday party and as usual, the boys were excellent travelers...
