monday: Nationals baseball game dollar hot dog night!
tuesday: roasted tomato soup and grilled cheese
wednesday: sausage, pepper, and onion hoagies
thursday: the Fourth! watermelon, among other things...
friday: weird, made-up, taco soup. delicious!
saturday: my 30th! 15-course tasting menu at DC's Graffiato! can't even begin to describe this meal. amazing. absolutely, amazing.

fantastic smoked tequila and cucumber "vida mezcal" with blood orange and house "punch"
antipasti platter. 2 homemade cured meats, arancini, chicken liver mousse with gooseberries, fresh goat cheese with ramp honey, giardiniera, cucumber and ramp salad
cold seafood. perfectly grilled squid, poached shrimp, steamed mussels with chili oil
olive oil and yuzu compressed asian pears with stracciatella and green peppercorn
broccolini with red pepper relish, feta, and walnuts. smoked beets with golden beet puree, sheep's milk ricotta, and pickled orange
"the hobbit" wood fired pizza. (the name alone. seriously.) castelrosso cheese, mushrooms, lardo, crispy rosemary
charred asparagus, burnt hollandaise, candied lemon, hazlenuts. Graffiato's version of an old-fashinoned and rosemary vodka, lavender, honey and lemon
smoked pork belly over greens with a cherry fig reduction
gnocchi with pork ragu, whipped ricotta and burnt rosemary
chocolate budino with olive oil gelato, pine nuts, and cherry, finished with sea salt
rhubarb tarte with cardamom crumble and lemon ricotta sorbet
